About this product

The splayed fork is a one handed meal in a single utensil. The outer tines are shaped into a cutting edge, so the client can press down to cut, then lift with the same piece. Between cuts it holds food like a spoon, which covers soft meals and mixed plates.

It suits people with hemiplegia, an amputation, or an arm out of action after surgery, and anyone who finds swapping between knife and fork exhausting or unsafe. The slim handle is deliberate: it takes a built up sleeve from the Kings modular range if the hand needs more to hold, so the same utensil grows with a client whose grip changes.

Stainless steel throughout and dishwasher safe, so it holds up to daily use in a home or a residential kitchen.
