About this product

Who it suits

The 778HD is the heavy duty option in the Shoprider three wheel range, built for a larger client who needs a scooter that will do real distance, not just short hops. The higher weight rating and the wider frame give a stable platform for a bariatric user, and the high torque motor keeps performance sensible when the scooter is loaded.

Three wheels at the front give a tighter turning circle than four, so the scooter handles supermarket aisles and footpath corners well. Rear wheel drive with electromagnetic braking, plus front and rear suspension, makes for a settled ride on the broken footpaths and gravel driveways that are common outside the city centres.

The seat is a high back contoured design with a headrest, and it slides, rotates and adjusts for height, so you can set the transfer position properly. Armrests lift up and adjust for width. The tiller adjusts through five points and uses a loop handle with finger operated controls, which suits a client who cannot sustain a thumb paddle. Flat free tyres remove puncture repairs from the picture.
