Putting on compression stockings is one of the first tasks people lose when hip precautions, back pain or reduced reach get in the way. This donner takes the bending out of it: the stocking is loaded over the column, the client lowers their foot in, then draws the stocking up using the handles.
The handles rotate to sit at a comfortable angle and extend so a seated client can reach without leaning forward. A ridge on the column stops the stocking sliding back down while it is being loaded, and the column widens towards the top to take a larger calf. The epoxy coated finish is smooth, which reduces the risk of snagging fine compression fabric.
It suits clients on daily compression therapy who want to keep doing it themselves, and it saves a support worker a daily visit that exists only to put stockings on.
