The Back Support is an accessory for the QuickMove sit to stand transfer platform. It is adjusted to the individual, sits behind the person’s back and clips to each side of the QuickMove, so the trunk is held during the stand and the move across.
It suits a client who can weight bear and follow the movement but loses the trunk backwards or to one side part way through, which is the point at which a carer usually has to reach in and steady them. Holding the trunk keeps the transfer a two handed task on the handles for the client and keeps the carer out of a lifting position.
It stays set once adjusted for a regular user, so it does not add time to each transfer.
