Clients who spend long stretches sitting up in bed usually end up propped on pillows that slide out by the middle of the night. This back rest replaces that pile with a frame that holds its angle.
The angle adjusts through several positions, from a low lying recline through to upright sitting, so the same rest works for reading, eating, breathing comfort and settling to sleep. Being able to change position without being repositioned by someone else gives the client back some control, and it saves the carer a job repeated several times a day.
A breathable nylon cover sits over the metal frame and a small pillow is included for added comfort at the head and neck. It lifts out of the bed easily when linen needs changing.
