The tip is the part of a crutch that keeps a person upright, and it is also the part that wears out. These replacement tips are moulded from high density foam rubber with a grooved base for grip and a reinforced metal washer inside to slow wear on the contact face.
Once the tread on a tip is smooth, grip on wet tiles or a bathroom floor drops off sharply, and that is a fall risk for a client who is already unsteady. Checking and replacing tips should be part of any crutch or stick review.
They fit crutches and walking sticks of the listed shaft diameter, in both aluminium and timber, and are supplied as a pair in grey. Keeping a few sets in the cupboard means a client is never left waiting on a worn tip.
