About this product

Bringing a loaded fork from plate to mouth takes more strength and control than it looks. For someone with upper limb weakness or poor motor control, that single movement is often what ends independent eating. The Stable Slide supports the forearm through the whole path, so the arm is guided through the whole movement.

It clamps to the edge of the table and sets to the height and angle that suits the person, using the hex key supplied. A roof attachment is included for clients who need the arm held more firmly on the slide. The sliding surface gives tactile feedback, which helps damp tremor and gives the user more control of the utensil.

It suits clients with multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s disease and cerebral palsy, and anyone whose fatigue by the end of a meal means the last half is fed to them.
