Some children need their legs held apart in the buggy, whether for hip management, to stop scissoring or simply to keep them from sliding forward out of the seat. This abduction block mounts between the knees on the Mamalu and does that job.
Keeping the legs separated improves how the child sits on the seat base, which in turn lets the five point harness do its job. Better pelvic position at the bottom usually means better head and trunk position further up.
It mounts and removes without much effort, so it can be used for the trips where it is needed and left off for the ones where it is not. It fits the Mamalu special needs stroller.
