The Adapt-A-Tray is a laptray system that holds a client’s arms, hands and equipment in the positions you set. The tray face is drilled in a grid, and padded blocks, angled brackets and straps bolt into that grid wherever you want them.
Who it suits
It was built for people with spinal cord injury, neurological conditions or severe physical disability who use a wheelchair and cannot hold a stable upper limb position on their own. Because every block and bracket moves, one tray can carry a client through changes in tone, posture and function without being replaced.
The starter kit arrives with the drilled tray, a smooth overlay for when you want a plain working surface, angled attachment brackets, padded blocks in a range of sizes, tray attachment straps, limb and equipment straps and a pair of arm cuffs. Communication aids, switches and activity equipment can be mounted to the same grid.
