For a client who slides forward in the chair or whose legs drift out of alignment, a thigh strap gives you a simple way to hold the femurs where you want them. It lays across the thighs and fastens to the chair frame with hook and loop, so it can go on an existing chair without hardware changes.
The centre section is a padded panel, which spreads the load across the top of the thighs, so pressure is not concentrated in a narrow band. That matters for clients with fragile skin or limited sensation, and it makes the strap easier to tolerate over a long day of sitting.
Set-up is quick, and because it wraps the frame it can be repositioned or removed by a carer without tools.
