Arm skate work is good for range of motion, but it only builds strength once resistance is added. This system clamps the skate board to a table and runs a pulley, so a set weight either resists the movement or assists it depending on how the therapist rigs it.
That gives a therapist a way to grade a shoulder or elbow program without changing equipment: start with assistance for a weak limb, then move through the weights as the client improves. Nine small weights come with the system, so steps between levels stay small enough to be achievable.
It suits rehabilitation settings working on upper limb recovery after stroke, injury or surgery, and the clamp means it can be set up on any suitable table in the clinic.
