Some clients need ceiling hoist transfers in more than one room, or in a house where a permanent motor in every track is not affordable. The Maxi Sky 440 is Arjo’s portable ceiling hoist motor. It clips into the track, does the transfer, and lifts off again to be carried to the next track or packed away.
It is light enough for one carer to handle and fit at head height, which is the part that decides whether a portable unit actually gets used. The handset runs the lift, and the batteries are charged off the unit so a spare set can be kept on the bench.
It suits shared houses and respite settings where the same motor serves several clients, and homes where track runs over the bed and over the bathroom and only one motor is needed at a time.
