About this product

Tension control sets how freely the rear wheels of a Klip gait trainer turn. Wind it on and the walker takes more effort to push, which slows a child who runs away from the frame and gives them time to place each step.

It is also useful where one side is weaker than the other. Setting the two sides differently evens out the drift, so a child who veers with every step can stay on a straighter line without you steering the frame for them. That makes the unit a practical way to grade a gait program: start with more resistance, then back it off as control improves.

The control is supplied as a pair and fits to the existing wheel assemblies, so a therapist can adjust it in a session without tools coming out of a workshop.
