Who it suits
Clients who can bear some weight through their legs and follow a simple instruction, but who are not safe to stand and step without support. The Staebel Patient Transfer handles the whole move between bed, chair, wheelchair and toilet in one piece of equipment, with no sling and no separate lifting accessories to keep track of.
The client is supported at the feet, knees, arms and buttocks at the same time, which gives them a stable, upright position to be moved in and takes the guesswork out of where to hold them. Padded seats rotate, so a carer can bring the person around to the receiving surface without shuffling the whole unit. Brakes lock it in place for the sit and the stand.
The base adjusts in width, which is what lets it get close in to a bed or a chair in a real bedroom or bathroom, not only in a training room. The frame is powder coated metal and the padding has no stitch lines to dig in or collect anything.
