Getting legs into and out of bed is where a lot of carer injuries start, and where a lot of clients lose their dignity. The Staebel Bed Transfer Assistant supports the lower limbs during that part of the transfer so one carer can raise a person’s legs and swivel them around into bed, or back out again.
It uses a padded glide panel with an ultra slippery base fabric, so legs move smoothly across the bed, and a rotary disc that helps the person rotate as they turn. The upper surface is cotton for comfort against the skin.
For the client it means the manoeuvre happens without discomfort and without being handled awkwardly. For the carer it means the load is supported by the equipment. The standard and paediatric versions are machine washable.
