Who it suits
Heavier clients who need forearm support for gait work, and who have been limited by the load ratings on standard tutors. This one is built to carry more weight and holds its shape under it, which is what makes the practice safe enough to be worth doing.
All four castors swivel and all four brake, so an assistant can lock the frame for a sit to stand transfer and then release it for walking without moving around the unit. For bariatric gait training that control is the difference between a session you can staff with one person and one you cannot.
Forearm gutters adjust for height and the hand grips adjust for depth, with cuffs that rotate to suit each arm. The wider frame gives a broader base of support and room for a client’s own stance.
