About this product

A four point base that replaces the standard rubber tip on a walking stick, for a client who needs more stability than a single point gives. The wider footprint spreads the load and keeps the stick standing on its own, which helps a client who struggles to retrieve a stick that has fallen.

It suits clients with reduced balance, hemiplegia after stroke, or anyone who leans heavily through the stick when standing from a chair. The flexible base keeps contact with the ground as the stick angles through the step, so it does not tip on the heel of the foot.

Check the tube diameter of the client’s existing stick against the listed fitment before ordering. Adding a quad foot changes the way the stick behaves and adds weight at the bottom, so it is worth a short practice session with the client before they use it out in the community.
