This is the moulded plastic bed pan that sits in the pan carrier under the seat opening of a KCare mobile shower commode chair. It lifts out for emptying and cleaning and drops back in.
The plastic is autoclavable, so it can be properly sanitised rather than just wiped over. That matters in a facility where the chair is shared, and it is worth having at home too where infection control is part of the care plan.
Order it as a spare, as a replacement for a cracked or stained pan, or as a second pan so one is in use while the other is being cleaned. Before you order, check the client’s chair actually uses a pan carrier: some commode setups are configured to be wheeled straight over the toilet instead.
