A footboard for the Impulse care bed in single width, finished in an oak look timber. It is ordered as a replacement when a board has been damaged, or when a bed is being refinished to suit the room it is going into.
A footboard does more than close off the end of the bed. It stops bedding sliding off, gives a carer something to hold while moving the bed, and it is part of what makes a care bed read as furniture rather than as hospital equipment. For a client who is reluctant to accept a profiling bed at home, that appearance often decides whether the bed gets used.
