Getting in and out of a car is one of the transfers that quietly stops people leaving the house. The AutoTurn is a swivel cushion that sits on the car seat and lets your client turn from facing sideways to facing forward without grinding their hips and knees through the movement.
The low friction layers do the turning, so the effort comes out of the feet, knees, hips and back. Side handles give a carer a controlled way to assist the rotation, and a belt and buckle hold the cushion on the seat so it does not wander during the trip.
It suits a client with painful or stiff hips, a recent joint replacement, or anyone who can weight bear but cannot pivot safely on their feet.
