The Swan is a long, soft glide pad for seated transfers and for repositioning a client back into a chair. It runs under the client and across the gap, so the move between a bed, a wheelchair, a recliner or a car seat can be done as a slide with light assistance.
Handles along the pad give carers a controlled hold, and because it is soft it can be left in place or drawn out easily once the client has landed. It works on its own, and it can be laid over a glide board where a client needs a firmer bridge between two surfaces.
It is a good fit for clients who cannot push themselves back in a wheelchair and slip forward through the day.
