The Icare Reform Bed Lumbar is a moulded support that cradles the lumbar spine and gives lateral support at the same time, for clients who need the lower back held properly in bed as well as in a chair.
It is contoured on two planes, so it supports the curve of the lower back while limiting sideways drift, which helps clients who settle off centre in supine or in a Fowler’s position. The profile is deliberately thin, so the client gets targeted support without being pushed forward or lifted away from the surface they are resting on.
The filling is a high density charcoal ActiveX foam, chosen for pressure redistribution and temperature regulation, with anti microbial and odour control properties that suit long daily use. The stretch cover zips off for washing. Clinicians can use it in seated positioning as well as in bed.
