Small bathrooms defeat mobile hoists. There is nowhere to put the legs, nowhere to turn, and the carer ends up lifting by hand. The Handi-Move Wall Lift mounts on the wall instead, so the floor stays clear.
The boom arm rotates through a half circle and extends, which means one unit can serve a toilet and a shower chair in the same room, or reach through to a bed on the other side of a wall. It fits to a wall plate, to a support post where the wall will not take the load, or to a wall plate with an extension where more reach is needed. No structural change to the home is required.
This Australian specification model runs on a battery cycle arrangement, and the hand control is waterproof, which is what you want in a wet room. An emergency lowering function and an emergency stop are built in. It takes Handi-Move slings, seat slings and the Body Support.
