This scale fits the Molift Nomad portable ceiling hoist and weighs the client during a transfer they were having anyway. The reading comes up at the press of a button and the unit will also work out body mass index from it.
Weight monitoring matters for clients who cannot stand on scales: people on nutrition or hydration plans, clients with oedema or fluid shifts, anyone whose medication is dosed by weight, and palliative clients whose condition is being tracked. Getting the number without an extra transfer saves the client handling and saves the carer time.
It is a Class III approved scale, so the readings are suitable for clinical record keeping. It clips into the Nomad hoist and stays with it.
