The Safe Lift set is a mobilisation aid for residential aged care, designed for residents who can still get in and out of bed themselves but need something to push against and something to see by. It gives a handhold at the side of the bed for entry and exit, puts simple bed controls within easy reach, and includes an automatic night light so the floor is lit when the resident swings their legs out.
The point of it is to keep a resident mobilising on their own for as long as possible, which is where the falls risk and the care burden both come down. Staff still supervise, but they are not doing the work of the transfer.
It runs from the bed itself, so there is no separate cable trailing across the floor and no battery to change. The set arrives complete in its box and retrofits to the bed.
