Putting socks on is one of the first jobs people give up when hips, knees or backs stop them reaching their feet. The Soxon holds the sock open in a contoured shape so your client can slide a foot in without bending, then pull the sock up the leg using the two long tapes. The aid slips away and leaves the sock in place.
The bamboo fabric is hypoallergenic with a low friction terry towelling inner, so it is gentle on fragile skin and helpful where there are sores, ulcers or oedema. The contoured opening stays wide enough for swollen feet. It works from a chair, from the edge of the bed or standing, which makes it a practical item to test during a dressing assessment.
It handles everyday socks, sports socks, pop socks and pantyhose. It is not designed for compression or TED stockings.
