Extender straps add length to a hip belt that will not reach. This comes up with larger clients, with bariatric seating, and whenever a belt has to be routed a long way around a seat or through hardware.
Using a matched extender keeps the belt as one continuous system with the buckle your client is already used to, so nothing about the way the belt is fastened changes. They are supplied as a pair, one for each side, and the webbing width matches the belt so the pair feed through the same hardware.
