Vibration is a real clinical problem for full time manual wheelchair users. Road buzz travelling up through the castors and frame contributes to fatigue, shoulder load and pain over a long day out. The Ethos is a rigid everyday chair built around that issue, with Ki Mobility’s Iso Tech polymers set into the frame to absorb the shake before it reaches your client.
It is still an active chair first. The aluminium rigid frame keeps the push efficient and the handling responsive, so clients who self propel all day do not trade performance for comfort. It is crash tested, and configurable across seat width and depth so the setup can be scripted properly rather than approximated.
Good fit for an active adult with a spinal cord injury or another long term condition who is already reporting pain or fatigue on rough footpaths and gravel.
