Feet left hanging undo the rest of a seating setup. These footplates mount to the R82 Heron so the child’s legs and feet stay supported while they are toileted or showered, which steadies the whole posture.
Three versions cover different leg lengths and knee positions. The Right Angled Knee and the Short Edition suit a child who sits comfortably with the knees bent squarely, the shorter of the two for smaller children. The Open Knee Angle version sets the footplate forward for a child with hamstring tightness or a fixed extension, whose knee will not come back that far. Each version is height adjustable within its own range, so the supports follow growth rather than needing to be replaced.
They are supplied as a pair and fit the Heron base frame and the power frame. If the child already has secure foot contact with the floor on the lowest seat setting, you may not need them at all.
Good to know
- Accessory only: an R82 Heron chair is required
- Measure knee-to-heel length before choosing the version
- Foot straps and other Heron accessories are ordered separately
