The CardioShield 280 records a 12 lead ECG and adds a stand alone mode, so it can be used away from a computer and the recordings transferred later. That matters for home visits, residential aged care rounds and any clinic where the machine moves between rooms that do not all have a workstation.
Connected to a PC it works as a full computing ECG, with acquisition, review and reporting on screen and the trace saved into the patient record. The same unit therefore covers both the consulting room and the visit bag, which keeps staff on a single workflow.
