This is the R-net CJSM2 joystick module with Bluetooth and infra-red built in, for clients who want the powerchair to be their access point to everything else. Infra-red commands can be learnt from a household remote or loaded from a library of common codes, so the client can run a television, a media system or home automation from the joystick.
Bluetooth lets the same joystick control a computer, tablet or phone. Available devices are listed on the screen and the client selects between them with joystick commands, connecting and reconnecting without re-pairing each time.
The colour screen is large enough to read at a glance, and a built-in light sensor adjusts the brightness as the light around the client changes. Paddle switches handle power, profile, mode and speed, and the case is metal to survive knocks. R-net’s connect-and-go design means it can replace an existing joystick module without reprogramming the system.
