When a client sits with a gap behind their back or slides forward until their knees are past the seat edge, the seat is too deep for them. This kit takes depth out of a Configura chair so the seat length matches the person’s thigh, and the backrest can do its job.
Correct depth is one of the cheapest ways to fix a posture problem. With the pelvis back in the seat the person stops sacral sitting, pressure comes off the coccyx, and there is less shear from the constant slide and reposition cycle that carers otherwise have to manage.
It is fitted to the chair, so it stays put when the chair is tilted and there is nothing loose for staff to reposition.
