When a client’s head drifts to one side and they cannot correct it, a flat headrest gives them nothing to work with. The Whitmyer Adjust A Plush uses two tapered locking joints either side of the pad, so the wings can be brought in or opened out until the lateral support sits exactly where the head needs catching.
That adjustability is the point. One client needs support on one side only, another needs both, and the same pad covers both cases without a made to order part. The plush padding keeps the contact comfortable for someone whose head rests against it for most of the day.
Covers come in reversed Dartex or Lycra, and the pad mounts on the Whitmyer hardware range, so it can be set up for the anterior and posterior adjustment the chair calls for.
