Bariatric 3-in-1 Commode, Height Adjustable

Code BE68111

A wide, height-adjustable steel commode built for larger clients. It works three ways: as a bedside commode with the pan fitted, as an over-toilet frame with the pan removed, and as a toilet surround for push-up support. Wider seat and arms than a standard commode.

About this product

A bariatric client who cannot reach the toilet at night, or who needs a raised and supported toilet seat by day, usually needs more than a standard commode will safely give. This one is built on a heavy-duty steel frame with a wide seat and padded arms, and it covers three jobs from the one purchase.

Beside the bed it is a commode. Over the toilet with the pan removed it is an over-toilet aid. Around the toilet it is a surround, and either way the arms give something to push up from. The legs adjust with push-button clips, so the seat can be set to match the height of the client’s own toilet or the height they can rise from. The pan lifts out from above for emptying, has a lid for carrying, and the splash guard fits when the frame is over a toilet.

Measure hip width seated with clothing on and compare it to the width between the arms. A client who needs to be wheeled to the toilet or into the shower needs a mobile shower commode instead, and a small bathroom may not take an over-toilet frame of this width.
