Who it suits
This commode is built for bariatric clients who need a wide, stable seat at the bedside and a frame with a high weight rating. It suits people whose walk to the bathroom is unsafe or too slow, and anyone whose night toileting is a falls risk.
The wider seat and heavy duty frame give a secure base for sitting down and standing up again, which matters most when a client is lowering themselves with their arms and trusting the chair to hold. The bucket lifts out for a carer to empty and clean.
For carers, having toileting happen next to the bed removes a difficult transfer and a long walk from the middle of the night routine, and keeps the client’s dignity intact while it happens.
Weight rating and seat width both matter here.
