Who it suits

This is an alternating pressure system for clients assessed at high risk of pressure injury, or already being treated for one. It replaces the mattress on the bed frame, so the client gets the full depth of the air cells under them.

Automatic weight sensing does the pressure setting, which removes the most common failure point in home care: a pump left on the wrong setting after a change of client or a change of position. A cell in cell design and a continuously inflated base layer keep the client off the base of the bed even if a cell loses air, and a quick twist CPR release drops the pressure fast when someone needs to be laid flat for resuscitation.

Day to day it is a simple system for families and support workers to run, with manual comfort control if the client finds the automatic setting too firm or too soft.
