About this product

Threading a needle asks for fine pinch, steady hands and close vision at the same time. Lose any one of those and sewing stops, which for a lot of older clients means giving up a hobby they have had their whole life.

The Threading Helper puts the job down on a table and holds it steady. It has a stable base that rests on a table, desk or wheelchair tray, a large threading eye, a thread holder and a magnifier, so the client lines up the thread once, with the needle held still.

It suits clients with low vision, arthritis, tremor, or the use of only one hand, and it is simple enough to leave with someone after a single demonstration. Mending clothes, replacing buttons and craft work all become possible again without waiting for family to visit.
