The Heron seat is built wide so it covers a long growth span, which leaves smaller clients sliding sideways on it. These padded side supports bolt to the seat and bring the sides in, holding the pelvis from both sides so the client sits centred over the toilet aperture.
Width is set with the supplied spacer blocks and steps down in small increments, so you can tune the fit to the client rather than accepting the nearest size. That matters for a child or small adult who needs lateral pelvic support to hold an upright posture through a shower or a toileting routine, and it matters for the carer, who is not constantly repositioning someone who has drifted off centre.
If the seat has to come in narrower than this set reaches, add the long bolt and spacer kit.
Good to know
- Accessory only; the Heron chair is sold separately
- Set the width with the spacer blocks before fitting; a hex key is needed
- Pair with 880508-02LB for seat widths down to 290 mm
