About this product

Toileting and bathing are where dignity gets lost fastest, and where carers get hurt. The Heron is a tilt-in-space toilet and bath chair for children and teenagers, built to hold the client securely through the whole routine while keeping the carer out of a bent, twisted working position.

Who it suits

It suits an older child or a teenager who cannot sit unsupported on a toilet or in a bath. The seat tilts and the back reclines around the hips, so the client’s position stays intact as the chair moves, which matters for a client with tone or pain on movement. Pressure mapping was used in the seat design, so it holds up for the longer sessions that bowel care often needs.

This is the powered version. Height, tilt and recline are driven from a hand set, so a carer can set the chair without the physical effort of a foot pump and can make small changes mid routine. It works over a toilet, freestanding with a pan, in the shower, or reclined over the bath for hair washing. The powered version also carries a higher user weight than the hydraulic one.

A charger and cable are required.
