The Flamingo back reclines, which suits hair washing and hygiene care, but for some clients that movement is not wanted. A child with poor trunk control, or one who pushes hard into extension, can drive the back out of the position you set.
This kit locks the back recline on the larger Flamingo sizes so the backrest stays at the angle you have prescribed. Carers get a fixed reference point every session and the child gets consistent support through toileting and bathing.
It is a factory style fitting that can also be added later, so a Flamingo already in a home or a school bathroom can be converted when the clinical picture changes.
