This adapter lets an R82 x:panda seat unit be fitted onto a Stingray frame. It is a retrofit part, so a family who already own a Stingray base can move to x:panda seating and keep the frame, the wheels and the fold they know.

The adapter mounts to the frame’s seat interface and carries the x:panda mounting plate, holding the seat square and locked on the base. Fitting is a workshop job. Once it is on, tilt, fold, brake clearance and the swivel function all need rechecking with the new seat in place.

For therapists this is a useful option where a client’s postural needs have changed and x:panda support is now the right call, but the family transport and store the Stingray frame every day and the frame itself still fits their life.
