They suit a child who needs a reminder rather than a correction: enough contact to stop the trunk drifting, while leaving the arms free and keeping transfers straightforward. For a smaller child, or for one who tolerates only light handling, a lower support is often all the trunk control that is warranted.

Height and width both adjust on the mounting, so the supports can follow growth and be reset if the postural picture changes.
