Fixed upper arm supports for the R82 x:panda, supplied as a set with covers. They mount to the fixed side supports and extend control up to the level of the upper trunk and shoulder girdle.
Some children are well held at rib level and still lose the shoulders forward or into rotation. Adding support higher up closes that off, and the result is usually a steadier head, a better visual field and more sustained hand use at a tray. It also makes a difference to breathing and swallowing for children whose chest collapses when the shoulders roll in.
These are the fixed type, so once you have set the position it stays put, which suits a client whose presentation is stable and whose carers should not be adjusting supports day to day. Fixed lateral supports need to be on the chair for these to mount to.
