A client who stands up from a lounge chair without calling is as much at risk as one who gets out of bed. The Cura1 2630 sits on the seat of a chair or recliner and signals a Cura1 monitor or pager the moment they lift off it.
With a 2719 Cordless Pad Transmitter plugged in, the alert travels by radio, so there is no cable between the chair and the carer. That matters twice over for a wheelchair user: the chair can move around the house without anything being unplugged or dragged behind it. The surface is non-allergenic soft PVC that wipes clean, and vent holes in the neck of the pad reduce moisture getting inside, which is usually what shortens the life of a chair pad.
Consider it for clients at risk of unassisted transfers: residents with dementia who forget they need help to stand, people on a supervised mobility program after a fall, and home care clients whose carer is working in another room.
