It fits over the cushion in place of the standard textile cover and protects the air cells and the valve area from moisture, which is what usually shortens the working life of these cushions in the community. Because it sits loosely over the cells and does not tension across them, the cushion still immerses and envelops the way it was set up to.

It suits StarLock and Stabil Air cushions. It wipes down between uses and hand washes when it needs a full clean, so a carer or a group home can keep it in rotation without special handling.
