A wet floor is the worst place to stand and turn. The Myco Ultra takes the turn out of it. The plastic shell seat rotates a full circle and locks at each quarter, so your client sits facing out, locks the seat, then turns to face the shower without stepping or twisting.
The legs adjust in height, the shell seat has drainage slots, and the powder coated aluminium frame is light enough to move in and out of a recess. Integrated arms give a push-up point for standing and something to steady against during the turn. It is a Care Quip chair, used in walk-in showers and, with the right clearance, in home and aged care shower recesses.
It suits clients with limited trunk rotation, hip precautions after surgery, or poor standing balance, who transfer better sideways from a walker or with a carer’s support. The arms are fixed rather than drop-down, so check the transfer method.
Good to know
- Base footprint 550 x 540 mm at maximum height; check the shower floor space
- Arms are integrated and fixed, not drop-down; check the transfer method
- Backrest 355 mm high
