Overhead transfers usually mean drilling into a ceiling, and in a rental, a heritage home or a respite room that is not on offer. The Arjo Easytrack is a freestanding gantry: two aluminium posts carry a track between them and nothing is fixed to the building.
The track extends and the posts adjust in height, so one frame suits a range of rooms. It assembles and dismantles without tools and packs down for transport, which makes it a practical answer where the need is for months rather than years, or where the client is likely to move house.
It suits clients who need hoisted transfers between bed and chair, commode or shower and cannot have a fixed ceiling track installed. It is often specified for NDIS participants in rental accommodation, and for palliative or post-injury care at home. The gantry comes without the hoist unit, so the Arjo hoist and slings are quoted alongside it.
Good to know
- The gantry is supplied without the ceiling hoist unit; the Arjo hoist and slings are quoted separately
- Assembly is required and the room needs to be measured for post spacing and ceiling height before quoting
- Made in Canada by Arjo
- Packs down for transport between locations
