Ventilated central cells draw air across the skin under the sacrum, which is the area where heat and moisture usually build up and where the tissue is most at risk. An auto adjust function reads the way weight is sitting on the surface and sets pressures to suit, and an auto firm setting hardens the mattress for transfers and repositioning.
Low pressure and power failure alarms and a panel lock make it safer where a client is confused or where family members are in and out of the room. Cells are interchangeable, so a damaged cell can be swapped without replacing the mattress.
