The Aurea Standard Modulated mattress is a static foam pressure care surface for clients at low to medium risk who spend long periods in bed and need the load spread without a pump in the room.
The top layer is cut into modulations that are sized by zone: larger under the sacrum where immersion matters most, smaller at the heels and shoulders where control matters more than depth. Underneath, a firm foundation layer stops the client bottoming out during transfers and when the bed profile changes. Open cell foam through the core lets air move inside the mattress, which helps with heat and moisture at the skin.
The sides are hinged and made from high density foam, so the edge holds its shape for perching and transfers and does not collapse as the client sits down on it. The cover is a four way stretch vapour permeable top over a waterproof base, with antimicrobial and fire retardant properties and a welded zip with a water protection flap.
