The Commuter gives basic pressure and shear reduction for a client at low risk of skin breakdown. A thin layer of Akton polymer is bonded to a foam base, so the surface moves with the client while the foam carries the load.
It is a light cushion, which matters for a client who lifts their own chair into a car, and it holds its shape with no pumping, adjusting or checking. A waterproof film barrier runs through the build to keep fluid and debris out of the foam.
The cover is a stretchy double knit polyester ponte with a non slip base, a web handle and a pull ring zip, so a carer can strip it and wash it quickly. Covers are replaceable if one wears out before the cushion does.
